2 Exercise Myths That Are Keeping You Stuck

Reader,

If you’ve been putting in the effort but still don’t feel like you’re in your best body… this might be why.

Most high-performing people I work with aren’t lazy.
They’re not lacking discipline.
They’re just following advice that sounds right… but is quietly holding them back.

Let’s clear up two of the biggest exercise myths I see 👇

Myth #1: “I need to work out harder and longer to lose weight.”

This one feels logical.
More sweat = more results, right?

Not exactly.

If you’re already juggling a career, kids, and everything else life throws at you… piling on longer, more intense workouts often leads to burnout, inconsistency, or even injury.

Truth:
Consistency beats intensity.

The people who actually transform their bodies aren’t crushing themselves daily…
They’re training just enough to stimulate change—and doing it consistently.

→ 30–45 minutes
→ 3–4x per week
→ Focused, intentional movement

That’s where the magic happens.

Myth #2: “Cardio is the best way to lose weight.”

Cardio has its place. No doubt.

But if it’s your only strategy… you’re leaving results on the table.

Long-term fat loss (and that confident, toned look most people want) comes from building and maintaining muscle.

Truth:
Strength training is your foundation.

Muscle:

  • Boosts metabolism
  • Improves body shape
  • Helps you keep weight off long-term

Cardio supports your health.
Strength training transforms your body.

So what should you focus on instead?

Simple, not easy:

  • Lift weights with intention
  • Move your body daily (not just in workouts)
  • Eat enough protein
  • Stop chasing extremes

Because your best body doesn’t come from doing more

It comes from doing what actually works—and sticking with it.

If you’re tired of guessing and ready for a simple, sustainable plan that fits your real life…

Just reply to this email with the word READY.

I’ll point you in the right direction.

Reader, Have you ever felt like you're doing everything right... Walking more.Trying to eat better.Adding extra cardio. Yet the scale barely moves? If you're over 40, there's a good reason for that. The strategies that worked in your 20s and 30s often stop working because your body changes. One of the biggest mistakes busy professionals make is trying to lose weight by doing more and more cardio while ignoring the one thing that has the greatest impact on long-term fat loss: Strength...

Reader, Every year around September, people say the same things: “I completely fell off this summer.”“I gained all the weight back.”“I feel terrible.”“I need to get back on track.” But almost nobody talks about it in June. That’s when the slide actually starts. One vacation. One long weekend.More drinks.Less movement. No routine.Constant “I’ll restart Monday.” Before they know it, they’ve spent 10 weeks slowly undoing the progress they worked hard for earlier in the year. Here’s what I want you...

Reader, What if this was the first summer you didn’t “fall off”? Not because you were perfect, but because you finally learned how to handle real life without spiraling. That’s the problem for most adults trying to lose weight: They can be disciplined for a few weeks, but then summer shows up. Vacations.Late nights.Drinks with friends.Cookouts.Travel baseball.Busy schedules. No routine. Suddenly healthy habits disappear until September. Here’s the thing: You should not need a perfectly...
